From October 1st till 5th I was in Paris to experience something special: Paris Fashion Week! After NYFW last February, this was on top of my list for the season.
I was so excited to see the shows, the street style, the showrooms and being a ‘Parisienne’ for a few days. That city just breaths love.. love for fashion to be exactly.
All days (except the last one) there was this clear blue sky which made it feel almost like it was spring. It couldn’t have been more convenient for dressing up to the shows.
Somehow I always seem to underestimate a fashion week. It looks al fun and games, and it sure is.. but it is very exhausting as well. Running from one show to the other, changing in between (cause yeah you want to be dressed well for the next occasion and wear as many looks as you have), feet that are killing you because you ‘must’ wear heels (well, I’m talking about myself) oh and not forgetting to eat, drink and breathe for a few minutes 😉
Besides that all it sure is a fashion fairy-tale. Seeing all the exquisite creations of various designers, being pulled into next year’s trends and styles. Meeting likeminded people. Photographers making lots of pictures. Yes that part does feel glamorous. But looking at my feet now I feel a lot less glitter & glamour as I have blisters all over them.. No, I’m not complaining. I would do it definitely again anytime!
